I will be the devil's semi-advocate here: Hal Putoff and Elizondo are Evil. But so is the DoE where Majestic-12 is co-housed (MJ12 has tentacles everywhere) . Hal and Louis belong to one faction (let's call them Power Mongers, Thiel, Musk, SilVal Rightwing Singularitarians) wanting a controlled choreogrpahed Disclosure that will benefit them while Maj12 and DoE, lets call them Control Freaks faction, are scared shitless that ANY kind of Disclosure, even one that is planned as pure puppetry by professional CoIntelPro AFOSI old hands, will go off the rails very fast even in best case initial conditions.

My theory: Amy was not killed by Elizondo, because Elizondo's faction boss, SilVal circles of TechBro's, want to reach godhood (literally) and the only way how to get that is via NHI Clarketech (aka Sufficiently Advanced Technology That Is Indistinguishable From Magic). Amy was right that both factions (even though she may have not realized there are at least two of them) want to control the narrative at the expense of the common man and that's why she called Elizondo and Puthoff evil. But I think she switched the motivations and perpetrators of her eventual death. I believe that in the particular cases of Eskridge and Childress it was the Legacy's work.

All I can add is if you meet somebody who has "put people to bed", for a living, they can seem very nice and genuine. They can be what they think you want them to be. And they know how to confuse people and cause cognitive dissonance.

Now if there was one of these "operatives" in the public arena, I doubt they'd be doing the actual work at that point. Maybe more acting both as a lure and observing.

You might see it like an agent working covertly in an adversary country... But on loads of podcasts and TV.

The adversary now being the general public.

Also it's probably unwise to trust anybody that has signed hard NDAs — even Jacques Vallee.

The "why" of it all is the mystery.

It's all very much like the "Spectacle" on steroids. You don't need Simulation Theory to have a simulacra.
