THE SIGNAL #015: THE GAUNTLET
For weeks the board traded on macro. This week earnings season opened, and Northrop set the tone: a beat, a raise, and a sell-off anyway.

THE WEEK
For weeks the board moved on one macro variable at a time. A ceasefire pulled everything down. A record defense budget pushed it back up. Each week had a single dominant story that sorted the whole set.
This week the calendar took over. Earnings season opened, and Northrop reported first. It handed the rest of the board a hard read: a beat and a raise were not enough to hold the stock.
Lockheed Martin reports Thursday, July 23. General Dynamics on July 29. Carpenter Technology and Huntington Ingalls both on July 30. BWX Technologies on August 3. ATI on August 6. Five more prints in sixteen days, into a tape that has already run.
Below: the gauntlet with verified prices, the disclosure cadence between tranches, the flat-to-cooling prediction markets, and the open-call status across all seven signals. Prices are as of the July 21 session unless noted.
THE GAUNTLET
One theme this week: the exam. And the first contractor through it lost the tape even after passing the test.
