What about Dr. Villarroel's work? It was rejected by ArXiv due to it being "of no interest to the scientific community". Her Wikipedia article was flooded with misinfo and ridicule about her being a UFO enthusiast.
"A radio phenomenon from 1927 that was documented for half a century, proposed as evidence of a Bracewell probe by a Stanford physicist in 1960, and then abandoned by every institution that could have investigated it further."
I was feeling an odd deja vu as I read this. Then I realized that the 1997 movie, 'Contact' was why. That movie had one of the most realistic scenarios of any movie of its genre, probably because Carl Sagan came up with the concept. I also have the book. As you may recall, we receive a radio/TV bounce-back signal from the 1936 Olympics that includes images of Hitler.
I may watch it again too. It had a lot of layers, including those of a spiritual/religious/faith nature, and control of science...by science and government, as well as how the world reacts. There was a lot packed into the film, which is why it should be seen more than once.
Love that movie too but the science vs. religion topic is just too much in-your-face style. Ruins many parts of the movie for me unfortunately. The pure "contact" scenario is gold though.
I think it's more about faith than religion. Ellie Arroway had faith in science, until it betrayed her, along with the government. Faith is different than 'belief'.
Things are changing, but slowly. Science is more onboard, and even the Catholic Church is more open to these things, although some fundamentalist faiths, not so much.
At this point, government(s) are more controlling of information...in the name of 'security.' And I highly doubt that the are looking out they are looking out for the best interest of the public.
"Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people."
(these dust clouds are supposed to generate 2,6s delayed EM wave reflections)
Interestingly, the "citizen scientists" (Tedesco Brothers) promoted heavily by Mr. Coulthart during the '23 NJ mystery drone flap also observed LDEs in Radar echoes during UAP sightings:
I am getting a feeling that something has been giving the scientists a vibe of “nothing to see here”. It seems too much of a stretch that any one government could possibly get everyone to back down and ignore the evidence. Of course, that begs the question of how you and a couple of others can delve so deeply and report to us.

Going to rewatch that. Good memory.
